This commercial cracks me up because it reminds me of when I was about 5 and found a box of tampons at home and proceeded to take them all apart trying to figure out what the heck they were. The sign of brilliant advertising…you can totally relate to the ad.

Is this a Commonwealth thing, maybe? It is just odd (Americans are the biggest prudes on the planet) to see a male person “Star” in a tampon commercial. USA feminine hygiene product commercials are all about being a happy woman, pouring a beaker of blue water in your panties, and rarely if ever is a man seen.
I love that he was confident enough to do this. Or is this standard in OZ?
Don’t know about Oz, but as a struggling actor, if you go on an audition and you get the job, you usually take it. (You’d know ahead of time what the commercial was about and what it required.)
