    SPOILERS for Ep 15
    Presumably Steve will get to find out something’s going on as Rick’s wearing an HPD uniform so has probably taken out a cop. Also someone will find Danny’s phone and gun.
    In a BTS photo, Grace is wearing the same dress she’s kidnapped in and she’s in the park with baby brother in a pushchair. Perhaps they were out with Stan as it looks like where he’s shot. Perhaps Stan lets her go with Rick thinking he’s police.

    Not trying to H8, but can someone please explain to me the point of LoHo spraining her ankle? Danny’s knee thing was from an actual Scott injury, yes? Was this so that Show could justify keeping her at headquarters while the rest of the team went out?

    While cute, I am blocking out the, IMO, forced and implied s*xual tension when McG picked her up. Show was doing so well in putting the “possible love interest” stuff to bed, no pun intended. Tres disappointed that a writer thought it necessary to bring it back.

    Having said that, color me jealous of LG! =P

        That was strange to listen to Danny´s voicemail, telling Rachel he wants her back…or that´s what I thought I heard.
        btw, Gracie didn´t seem to have been crying at all even when locked up and taped to the chair. Would think any little girl at that age would have been terrified in that situation. Or did I miss the tears…

      I was just saying the same thing somewhere else. Why did Lori look at Steve in his arms in that romanticly interested way. If they are just friends, this look would be different.
      On another note, Lori´s run was as hilarious an before! I almost feel embarrased for her ;) But not buying Steve not catching up with her, since she obv is not a fit running type of person.

        I’m going to post something that I posted on another site:

        - I thought that the “shot put” comment she made was rather interesting. She has talked a big story all this time, but she has clearly had some moments of physical vulnerability, much to her dismay. You can tell that she really, really does not like needing help. In a way, it makes her character more interesting to me. I wish that the show had made more effort to explore her history so that we could see what really makes her tick.-

        At first watch, I was annoyed with her damsel in distress bit. The more I think about it though, I realized how utterly uncomfortable she is when she’s in a vulnerable position, like this, having a gun to her head, getting knocked out in the makeshift morgue. We’ve criticized how much she has talked about beating her boyfriend at stuff, etc. and then gotten herself into sticky sitches, but it’s starting to make some kind of odd sense now. Perhaps 2.16 will shed some kind of light on all of this?

          V interesting, Spursy. I agree with wishing they’d explored this a bit more. She could have been such an interesting character. I’ve written (mostly in my head, and with no small amount of resentment that this hasn’t been done for me by the people who are paid to do it) a backstory for Lori to make more sense of her and this fits with how I see her so perfectly. It also makes her seem more human and less perfect, which I know is a criticism that has been made of her.

Because he is totes a gentlemen and only competitive with Danny…like that episode when he was running on the beach and Danny goes past with one of those little 4 wheel things (someone can probably tell me it’s name) and McG tries to out run him. ;)

        I think we are all missing the point……LoHo is the comic relieve of Season 2 and we take her too seriously…….
        I think only the BEST actress can NOT look romanticly interested inThe MAN when you are in his arms!!!!…….especially so close to The FOY. I am sure even Meryl Streep would suffer to pull that one off.

      spursy – I wondered, too, what is the point? Usually, in any show, things are there for a reason. In Mike & Molly last night, an early line mentioned that Molly whistles when she is nervous, and there at the end of the show she whistled her way into the kitchen – there was a point to it being mentioned. If Lori being in HQ came into play later, I could see it. It was just a ‘hanging chad’ of a storyline.
      Also, color me jealose as well – and this is the first time I noticed how thin the gorgeous devil masculine man was. I’m sending him Subway to beef him up. Well, I’ll just take it to him myself. :)

        He didn’t look as thin as 2.14, at least not to me. So disturbing that so many people have noticed this though. Has there been any clarica on the recent weightloss?

            Sepia is my favourite shade in photoshop :)
            Also I´ve noticed how gorgeaus tan AOL has these days. I´d have freckles and liver spots if I lived in a sunnier place. Thank God for 4 months of winter, fewer freckles!

                  What?? Why?? Mine is practically worn out! Something I’ve been noticing in rewatching Season 1 episodes – and sometimes in Season 2 — even though Steve is the team leader, there are certain situations when Danno seems to be teaching Steve about police procedures. I’m not talking about the yelling about kicking in doors or hanging people off roofs, it’s more subtle. Like when Danno cut short the interview of the woman from the “Honeymoon Serial Killer” episode.
                  Because they’ve been together from S1.1, I tend to forget that Steve really had no experience in actual police work. Even in this week’s epi, Danno was the one who explained the perp’s reasoning in freeing the gambler con. I think his experience gives him better insight into the baddie’s thought processesses . OK, enough theorizing, back to McLegs and Pantslessness.

                    I agree with your observation! McG is much more used to a black & white type of criminal being a SEAL: terrorist, weapons dealer, human trafficker, etc. Your day to day criminals who aren’t “career” criminals are much more murky — because determining people’s motives is REALLY HARD to do CORRECTLY. But this is something Danny is good at with his high (at least higher than McG’s) emotional IQ.

      IMO, the sprained ankle was to make LoHo be stuck at the office so that they could set up the end scene. Where the COREFOUR are all together when Monkeeeeeeeeeee is rescued. Like I said on the recap page, it was a serious emotional Ohana moment. Meant for the real Ohana – the four of them. They all have an emotional attachment to Monkey, I don’t think LoHo has even met her.

        ACA – the end scene with the 4 was solid – it’s good they sidelined LoHo because maybe they finally figured out what some have seen all along. Or, they are easing her away from the group one week since they are totally losing her next week. Either way, the 4 make a better group.

            The only 5th wheel in my opinion that maybe had any chance to succeed would have been Mary. (possible SPOILER if you haven’t watched Moonlight yet!!
            But then I would have written her as someone that grew up with a rich Aunt and Uncle and some younger cousins. No junky, but a rich little poor girl with (dead)mommy, (abandoning)daddy and big brother(Steve) issues (but with a nice McGarrett personality hiding inside that surface quickly and that the 5-0′s and us come to love). Her job would be something between Beth and Morgan. Every now and then she would visit Hawaii and some story that she is following or reporting one cross with a 5-0 investigation. Or one of her rich friend vacationing on the Island lands in trouble. Lots of scenarios……
            But the Mary’s character have sailed and in my humble opinion I think the SHOW, F.CKED her character and its potential up nicely!!

      ACA! Besides, usually shot put athletes are quite big in size so why did the show go with that sport!? With her figure would´ve been more believable if she had been a gymnast.
      Alex has a fit body, but those veins on his arms are telling me he isn´t eating enough for the amount of excercise he´s doin. His face and neck are so bl00dy thin. …I volunteer to shove cake down his throat…homemade :)

        Paula, I watched S2 Epi 1-14 in the past 2 days for the 1st time….and within 1 day he became this thin (still totally beautiful, strong and healthy) man to me.. and it is not makeup as some people claim.
        And I like Vein P0rn as much as most of us on here, but that vein running down the full lenght of his arm, that I saw in the pictures of 2:15, kind of freaked me out!!
        I also think they did the whole carrying LoHo thing, to show the fans that there is nothing wrong with his health and strength (maybe a good move).

          He claims to be fit and caring about his health, it seems that he might deal with stress exercising and forgets to eat enough. He´s said before when someone commented on him being quite slim that he´s been stressed, could be the long hours of shooting is causing this.
          As You said, I also thought this carrying scene could be a response to our concern.

He says he’s never felt better & he probably is as strong as an ox, but he’s starting to look ill to me. McMo

        Those pap pic’s of him at the supermarket that we saw a few weeks ago, apparently they were actually from November….but even looking at the difference in his face and jawline is kinda startling. I read somewhere that during filming last year he didn’t even have time to work out. So if that holds true, and he isn’t even full on working out, then he def needs some more fat and carbs in the diet. His facial features are getting too pronounced……and this is just MY opinion.

    I’m proud of you FUCUPs for taking the renewed relationship (of whatever type) between McG and LoHo so calmly. When that scene started, I was laughing imagining the hue and cry that would be raised on this site. But no one seems to have an axe out.
    Personally, I was not happy. One could read a lot into the scene, until you remember that his date for the Governor’s ball next week is Cath. Since we have endowed the character with unwavering loyalty, there just can’t be anything between him McG and LoHo!
    Lots of vein p0rn in that scene. I’m loving his hair longer. The little curl on his neck is almost back. Thin or not, I think he looked incredibly awesome in this episode.

          was romantic for one of them…and can say that here on seeeeeeeeeeeeereeeeeus page….she loves him…. and will be crushed next week if she is done with 5-0. we may finally see the vulnerability they should have showed us in week 3 to get us to invest in her, but instead they played her off as someone too concerned with appearances and unwilling to accept help. I think we have all felt all along that there is something just below the surface bubbing up in Lori, but they would not let it come up to the surface. atplenkov & his staff o’writers forget that we 5-0 fans like our characters scarred, flawed and full of unbriddled emotion.

    Karin- Oh he always looks incredilby awesome, and the tan, and the tats, so handsome. But his weight was mentioned before and I never noticed it at all until this time. As to the other point you raised, you may have missed it but we have been banned from venting on the subject. And even tho Maha says she does not monitor this page, it seems we are staying on good behavior. There are strong feelings.trust.and if you scroll back to earlier in the season somewhere along the pages you’ll run across M’s admonisment for us to just let it go. As recently as LBrookieF being new had a post on it, and M let her know that any discussion of a relationship whether for or against is off limits. All gnashing of teeth is done privately. :)

        This whole thing has made me realize that I LIKE being mad at Show. So I’m in shock she’s not on the cast list. I wasn’t crazy about LoHo but I like LaGerman just fine & wish her well. Maybe she can have a dramatic recurring role. I always thought she’d be a better villain.

          I feel bad for her, they kinda just threw her in and left her without a life raft…..or even a pair of inflatable kiddie arm thingamajigs. Can’t blame her for the way they wrote the character.

            While I agree they couldn’t really make up their mind what they wanted to do with her, I think she failed at what they DID give her. There were several times where she totally could have engaged the viewers but she delivered it so blandly that you (ok, I) still just didn’t care. The scene with Patty Duke for one. PATTY DUKE!! Her facial expression never changes and talk about a moment when she could have hit it for six, she didn’t. On the other hand, the very next scene with Patty Duke, when Alex was with her, he melted the screen with just his facial expressions and simple ‘yes ma’am…the Navy”. I’m not saying she didn’t have a few good moments, but they were few and far between. Especially when you are surrounded by such talented people.

            When I did my H50 S2 marathon a few weeks ago it was painfully obvious the way they changed her character within just a few episodes. It was way too early to be fan feedback, I think they really saw that she just couldn’t pull of this ‘female McG”, BAMF that they tried to make her in 2.2. It was laughable from the word go.

              Definintely agree, ESS. I do quite like Lori, she’s growing on me as the season goes on, but there are still moments where it just doesn’t work, and it’s not all down to the writing. A lot of it is down to the writing though, and the fact that no-one seemed to have a clear idea of who the character was meant that she probably had very inconsistent direction which hasn’t helped. And if they didn’t know who Lori was, we had no chance. She isn’t a clear enough character for her to engage our imaginations, which is what it’s all about really, isn’t it? So much of what we talk about here is imagination (which is a scary thought). That’s easy when it comes to Steve and Danny, especially, but with Lori it’s just a big blank because we don’t know what she’s all about, so, as has been said many times, we Just.Don’t.Care.

              I’m sad that it hasn’t worked out for her. I’m enjoying the series so far (Hallowe’en episode last night), I’ve been quite surprised by how much better it is than I was expecting; from all the furore I thought it was going to be dire, but seems like just the same show to me. I would have been quite happy if Lori had stayed, I wouldn’t watch the show just for her but equally, I’m not wishing her off the screen every time she appears.

      Perhaps she’ll lose her job as a 5-ho, but still be in Hawaii doing something else? Maybe she really does go to homeland security or the local FBI office. I could see her popping up now and then to assist with a case. No H8 for L to the G. The writers really subwayed her.

      Read somewhere today that apparently Lauren has dyed her hair darker and that would not be allowed if she still had a contract with the show. She did recently tweet a pic of herself, and it is clearly darker.

        Lauren was never signed for a full season and never meant to be a permanent role. That’s why she wasn’t added to the opening credits of the main 4, now 5 with Masi Oka’s addition. She was temporary just like Joe White and Jenna Kaye. I think maybe they wanted to see if she’d grow into being a permamenent member by putting her in every episode but it apparently…(apparently)…didn’t gel.

      It looks like it´s Steve going after the jumper. I didn´t realize before someone else mentioned it and had to rewatch over and over…so blurry.
      I would be a bit surprised it Lauren is kicked off show already, though would not miss her. She never fit for me in this show, her appearance (as I´ve mentioned too many times) doesn´t go with kick-arse show like this. Maybe Danny and Steve now get back to their bromance and get “real” girlfriends :)

Butttt Steves Faccceeeeeeeeee is perfect as he jumps after jumper on roof! flashback to promo pic’s that were released of him and Cath in camo (in hotel? with chocolates! Steve next time spring for Godiva!) and he’s a bit banged up…….Wow…..the LoHo haters must be foaming at the mouth right now!!

Interestingly, my dad held Jets season tickets until he moved to FLA, but my stepdad is a Giants fan as is my hubby. But, I don’t hate on the Jets, so I guess we can survive this fact. ;) Also, Gabby is still in the picture. That makes me happy, because it may mean Danny is moving forward from Rach Hell. Hopefully.

                    Collingwood is like Man United. The team that even though you don’t follow soccer, you know they exist because everyone talks about them like they are Gods gift to soccer. There is also a certain stigmatism attached to Collingwood supporters in that they aren’t general the smartest cats going around. There are many a Collingwood jokes. E.g
                    “What does a Collingwood supporter use as c0ntracepti0n?”
                    “Their personalities.”

                    Also as an Essendon supporter I am brought up to hate Collingwood. Like Yankees fans hate the Red Socks, same $hit, different sport. :D

            I am starting to wonder if the Steve/Cath scene in the hotel with the chocolates isn’t a flashback of some sorts. Between the party, the action story line, jumping off a roof, and all the other stuff that is going on in the extended promo clip and in the preview we saw last week, would there really be time for it in the Show? Or time to explain why Steve was in uniform?

            It would make much more sense if it was a Valentine’s Day past where Steve was still active duty and he and/or Cath were just remembering that day….

              Althought the way Cath says that chocolates are ‘better than not remembering at all’ suggests that Steve might not have been too forthcoming with Valentine’s presents in the past…
              Next bit might be slightly spoilerish:

              Atplenkov was asked on Twitter whether we would ever see Steve being called up now he’s in the reserves and he said something like ‘little taste of that coming up in 2.16′, so it would fit that Steve is in uniform in the present day. Maybe they had to postpone it for a few days, which would be a nice continuation of their S1 relationship – instead of ‘we finally made it to dinner’, it would be ‘we finally made it to Valentine’s Day’.

              Whether it’s a flashback or present day, the scene with Cath in the hotel room would take the same amount of time. But I hope it’s present day. Since they had the chocolate convo @ the charity event, I’m thinking the chocolates he brings/brought her is current to present times.

              Also, I just want to point out that Michelle Borth totally rocks that scene in the promo. She jumped right in the middle of the bromance but you’d never know it because it was funny & well delivered without sucking the momentum out of the scene. It didn’t take away from the McDanno moment at all. In fact, Cath’s relationship with Steve is very similar with the joking & competitive comments. That’s why they work IMO.

The worst thing about it is, and I can’t believe that I’m writing this out loud… AOL’s face made me sad. It looks thin and tired. Still looks great in a tux. I’m a sad panda.

      What a great episode! I’m actually glad they ended the McG/LoHo story that way. We knew it was obvious she had a thing for him but I never expected it to be acknowledged. I think it was very well done and as usual Alex rocked that scene.
      And I loved the last scene. But “suspension of belief” time again. How is he going to do 2 weeks of drills with a couple of broken ribs??
      And I’m definitely joining the “his face is too thin” camp this week. Loved the longer neck curls though.

            It’s kind of me and NotMcG’s Sunday night event, so I don’t want to watch it beforehand and I don’t think he’d go for watching it online, because (and I have trouble getting my head round this) I don’t think he actually cares that much. Shocking, but true.

            And I still get to read the recaps. The only problem with that, of course, is that it’s like reading a book and then seeing the film: invariably the book is better.

Steve angst, Steve in BAMF mode about to kill a m0f0 for taking advantage of a woman.

    HOWEVER

    @Plenkov. I didn't like the "surprise" though. The I had feelings surprise. Someone got an all caps DM from me "EXCUSE ME" when what I meant to say was frak off. I don't like the implication that Lori was reduced to a school girl because she had feelings for Steve….. oh and the rest of the team. Why do that? I don't care so much that she had feelings (duh! she's a hot blooded woman) but why did those feelings have to cloud her judgement. What was that noise? Oh just the feminist movement going back about 50 years. Thanks mate.

              They claim they plan these story arcs out well in advance and don’t necessarily react to the fandom. But who said lets bring this character in and have her do what everyone else can do, just not as well, and then drop her after 15 episodes of are they or aren’t they with a lame “my feelings for you”. Do you really think this is what they had in mind for LoHo from the beginning? I’d almost rather they hooked up and then she got killed, from a story perspective, it would’ve allowed for some interesting plot development. Whereas this just seemed pointless. I was never a LoHo fan but I really hope LG gets a new gig where the character isn’t such a mess and we can see her shine.

          Infant, I ACA 2I&B with your comments (both comments). I <3 Show. I in fact HEARTED this episode & it made me happy in many ways. However, at the moment you speak of above….. My DMs to a particular friend may have read along the lines of:
          WOW
          "MY FEELINGS FOR YOU?"
          ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?
          SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!?

          Because I also felt Major Disapoint that SHOW still can not figure out what to do with Women. Or even just one Woman. They could have done ANYTHING with LoHo, even 15 episodes in they could have taken her character any which way they wanted and THIS is what we get? The lamest possible option. Like you say, the schoolgirl infatuation ~which she *never* acted on at all besides a few longing looks (think of how much more interesting it would have been if they'd NOT made it "canon" which way she felt so we could keep the debate going?) ~ clouding her professional judgement as a law enforcement officer and all around responsible human being. WOW. Just. Terrible. No wonder LaGerman has looked so tired in her last few instagram photos. She had to SAY the line that (as you say, Infant) marched feminist causes back 50 years. Maybe Show is set in some Alternate Universe where they have iPhones in the 1950s?

          Spursy? Momo? Kimmers? Infant? Eve? Anyone else who played along last time? We need to have another Ledge party for Maha when she gets to doing her recap. Because this. For Mama? My bet is? Serious. Effing. Ledge. Insta-Ledge. I can't be 100% sure of course but this is my bet.

          Because, Infant, you are NOT reading too much into Show. This may seem stupid to some but it is important to others because Show reflects our society and influences our society because young people watch Show and ARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH WHY SHOW WHY.

          With the exception of that Feelings Moment, great ep. But that Moment was so unnecessary and disapointing. And I wasn't even a big LoHo fan! And I was not enthralled with how they coordinated her exit.

    I was sort of disappointed in the episode overall. There were some really good parts, and some not so good parts. As noted above-, I didn’t like that Lori is being written off. I really liked her last scene with Steve UNTIL the Koala TPTB made her make the “feelings” comment. I didn’t like how at the Russian consulate no one had actual Russian accents. If some American cops/task force in real life broke into a Russian embassy/consulate there’d be MAJOR consequences, a Russian guy raping a girl notwithstanding.

    The episode felt rushed.

    Also, I was looking forward to seeing Catherine again, but her appearance and her scenes with Steve ALSO felt just rushed. I wanted more.

    About Lori´s confession of her crush on Steve. All I thought was haa! Plenkov caught with pants on fire. What was the point of her saying this line, we´ve been told there´s no romantic implications, way back in fall! Happy that Steve didn´t respond to this, but I heard his voice being a bit emotional saying goodbye to her.
    Maybe the end of this season will now be “calmer” without Lori and of course Shelburne and Wo Fat will add tension in a good way…

    I’d like to start by saying that I am happy and honored to be spending part of my Val Day (like ohmygod, it’s Valentine’s Day, like totally, fer sure, fer sure) with the FUCUPs, ranting all seeeeerious on 2.16.

    My thoughts on this ep were:
    - The gov gave her a choice of the state of Hawaii for 5-0? What the fck kind of choice is that?! Are you telling me that the 5-0s don’t give a sh/t about Hawaii?! Hooray for LoHo for saying, “both.” And screw the gov for making her make that kind of choice. Total bullsh/t on the writers’ part.
    - And why does she have to go back to the east coast? Seriously, Show? Are you trying to tell us that she is soooooo in love with McG that she has to cross a continent now?
    - In the end, and the biggest gripe, what purpose did she serve? Some of us were asking the same question about Jenna Kaye, until we realized exactly what purpose she served on the show. *sigh – shoutout to ep 2.10* All of the other characters – Joe, Kamekona, Max, Charlie Fong – they have all served a purpose. TPTB just never gave her anything of real importance to do. Another dropped ball. Koalas.
    - There were moments that I laughed out loud at the tv screen because it looked like AOL was holding back laughter. One was the sister describing the Rusky taking advantage of her. I know, why would that be laughable. I think because she was so over the top dramatic? I’m not sure, but it really looked, to me, like he was holding back laughter. The other moment was the end LoHo scene.
    - The tickets – would she have given them to him anyway, or would this have been her way to have some mini-dates. She def would have shared the wealth in inviting people, but I have a feeling he would have gone with her more often.
    - I thought that Cath looked gorge in the dress and jewelry, but slightly puzzled that Show is trying to portray her as someone who isn’t girlie from time to time. Yes, I would rather have beers in a more casual atmo most of the time, but I hope they don’t try to paint her as overly tomboy. She does dig the FOY afterall.
    - Being the shallow person that I am – fck you Atplenkov – as I was trying to figure out the last time we saw shirtless Steve. I’m thinking it was 2.10. Correct me if I’m wrong? Honestly, with this face looking that thin, I’m almost afraid to see him shirtless right now. I admit that I have become distracted by his gaunt look.

          ESS agree with you, that I’ll take him anytime everytime!! Through (ML)thick or (H50)thin, he will always be gorgeous!!
          There is just some things, that you can not unsee once you have seen it.
          I know this is a exptreme example, but I want to use it to make my point. – Christian Bale in “The Machinist”, something I am really trying hard to unsee (Till this day haven’t had the courage to see his Oscar winning performance in “The Fighter” just because of that image and him also being thin in it too)
          After 2:06 that “TOTAL PERFECTION OF THE MALE BODY” is in my mind and I don’t want it ruined by something I can not unsee. (Not a big fan of actors risking their heatlh for roles – Christian and Russel spesifically, especially if you are as good as Alex and can pull off any character given to you) Not that I say he is doing it now (and I believe he is in excellent health at the moment) for the role (In my eyes he is just working to hard and not eating enough to sustain his weight)
          On a much lighter note – my ex (Steve/Cath like)-notMcG, also used to loose a lot of weight when he got to busy at work. He used to just grow a full beard to hide the sunken in cheeks and then he would jokingly say his is: (and I translate directly into Sardonic) “Just FOY and feet left”

    Being slightly seeeris for a mo,I have hated the writing for Lori from the start,it’s almost as if her character has been written by a wee lonely man in a darkened room who isn’t allowed to communicate with the other writers (and this wee man has totes never had the intercourse with a REAL woman).
    I have been mortified by the Lori character,her whole storyline has been pointless and her last scene with McG was gringeworthy.
    ME screaming at scene”HAVE SOME FU**ING PRIDE WOMAN,LEAVE WITH A SHRED OF DIGNITY!!!!
    But no,writers think it will be cute if Lori finally tells Steve how she feels and resigns.This is NOT fu**ing Glee!!!!
    I’m away to lie down in my own darkened room now.

        I HATE HATE HATE the implication that LoHo couldn’t think with her upstairs brain long enough to spend more than a few months as a Five-0. I didn’t like the LoHo character but I never NEVER wanted *THIS* for her. It’s one of the reasons I reacted badly when I first heard she’d be brought in as a romantic interest. I don’t want ANY character introduced purely as “romantic interest.” Even Chin’s One True Love Interest Malia (Malalakakalakalakla) was brought in FIRST as a DOCTOR of a VICTIM & she helped them identify Jack in the Box.
        UGH SHOW I AM DISAPOINT!!!

    We’ve had Jenna and now Lori. I think the writers need to be really careful about trying to shoehorn anyone, man or woman into the core four team. New characters on the periphery are generally good although I thought Joe took a bit too much away from the team time.

      I think that somewhere down the line, there is a need for “new blood” so to speak, but really, I think they jumped the gun a little on these two (JK and LoHo). I did love Joe White, though. Maybe only because it gave McG some character development.

      Yeah – and you are right – there are so many good secondary characters – no need for more mains.

        I was one who didn’t like Jenna, liked Lori a lot and liked Joe. I do agree that Joe and the storyline there took up a lot of air time. And some of the complaints that were lodged by some about Lori taking away screen time from Kono and the Danny/Steve dynamic were more due to Joe than anything. But like you said, it was character development for Steve.

        I also had read somewhere that they were trying to relieve the Core 4 of some hours, as they were working 13 hr days, stressed, and that Grace Park had asked for some time off?

        I wouldn’t mind seeing some more Kamekona, Charlie Fong (come on, Kono, get on that!), Malia, Max, etc…

        I don’t know why shoes are so eager to add new characters some times. When they added two chicks and then Castiel to Supernatural it completly changed the show for me and in my books, was never as good.

        LBF, that point you had about trying to relieve the core 4 of some hours doesn’t surprise me. You can’t keep working the hours they do for a long period of time. Also, it’s different for Alex and DDK whose family is on the island. If I am not mistaken Grace Parks husband lives in Canada? so I can imagine she’d much prefer to fly out Thursday night and get a three day weekend at home in Canada. Same goes for Scott.

          show should start with peripheral characters like Max and Charlie and see if they stick first. my fanfic idea last year for 5th member was a CSI named Melanie who knew McG back in his Anapolis days. No need to directly throw someone into the team, but see who fits first and ease them in if they do. Just my thoughts.

              Melanie Monaghan had been working in the CSI department of the Honululu Police Department since her husband’s job had relocated them to the island 4 years earlier. Reluctant to move from her position in Vegas, she knew the move would be beneficial for her now estranged ex-husband’s career with the Hilton, and it would be a better place for her now 8 year old son Jake to grow up.

              Now that Charlie and she were in the process of getting a divorce, she wasn’t so sure the move was the best thing. Jake was not being shuttled back and forth between her ex’s suite at the Hilton and their home that they had so carefully selected together all those years earlier when they had been happy. What time she had left outside of the lab was spent with Jake between his school activities and gynmastics. Jake had also started to take an interest in surfing, something Mel had now knowledge of having grown up in a New York City Suburb. Yes, she had spend her summers going down the shore, but that was a time more spent tanning and listening to the radio, while trying to pick up boys, than surfing.

              When Mel had first met Charlie, she was actually a full fledged New York City police officer, walking the beat. But, after 9/11, she had lost the taste for delivering bad news to people, and had found herself fascinated with the idea of studying the facts and bringing closure to people. So, she had gone to through the motions of moving over the the CSI division of the police force instead and never regretted it. Until now. There were days Mel hated being cooped up inside most days instead of out in the Hawaiin sun. Now that her son was older, she was itching to get back out in the field and do more legwork again. She did get out to crime scenes, like she was today, but often spent hours back in the lab, studying fibers and liquids to determine origins. Known for a photographic memory, she was often called upon to relay a crime scene in detail. But, her best skills were never used. She was a damned good shot and hadn’t had a chance to yield her gun in years.

              On this particular day, Mel had been asked to investigate a murder at one of the country legislators houses. She knew it was a sensitive case, because those guys from 5-0 were on the scene. She actually recognized one of them as Rachel Williams ex-husband Danny. Rachel and she were on the PTA together at their kids’ school. She had spent many a meeting listening to how terrible Danny was and how great her new hubby Stan was in comparision. It was a shame, because Danny was really cute. He had the type of marble blue eyes that could make a girl walk into walls if she wasn’t careful. He also had a compact, athletic body and amazing arms. The hair on his arms actually glissened in the sun. Mel closed her eyes and shook her head. Time to concentrate.

              A minute later, she realized that she was not alone. Looking up, Steve McGarrett was shadowing over her. For some reason, this made Mel very nervous. Although he had a pleasant (who was she kidding- adorable) face, McGarrett gave off the air of someone who could break your neck in one fast move. She was equally intrigued and intimidated…….

                  I think the “I’m sorry I lied to you” is a teaser and basically one of the main mysteries of the show. What was he lying to Steve about? We know now but back then we had no clue. I also think it’s more than just the lie about Moma McG. It’s goes back to what Wo Fat’s family has against the McGarretts as well, which we don’t know yet. Show planted a mystery for us right in the opening scenes of the show. Well done.

                  Also as for Steve not being able to take on Victor Hesse in the pilot, wasn’t he shot in the shoulder/arm when he was fighting him? I would imagine this would have impaired Steve some what and given Victor an unfair advantage…having said that the dude did end up with two in the chest. Or was it the sunlight?? Again??? ;)

                  Did you notice that the blood on Steves face and injured arm/shoulder switches during the different shots of Steve? Trust. It moves from right to left. Continuity fail.

                  Bet the Mustang people are crying now because we’re all about the Chevys ey?

                    Infant, something I noticed watching 2:14 – John says to Steve “your mother is gone”. He doesn’t use the word dead.
                    The continuity fail you talk about – watch the car as it turns to go on to the road running to the ship. Number on top of car also in reverse. Somehow some of those last scene were “switched” around, so its not a makeup mistake but final editing or what ever that did it.

                    I think every car that crashed in the show so far, has been a Ford…. that is Show, showing them the middle finger for not sponsoring them, I think!

                      one of the first tweets I made about h50 back in March 2011 was that show put all the good guys in Chevys and all the baddies in Fords. you could use the fact that a person drove a Ford as a sign that they were up to no good. this is how h50undercover and I became buds. true.story.

                      The whole story where they told Adam Noshimori that his father faked his death and didn’t want to get him(Adam) involved to protect him, makes me think they are softening us up, for mama McG to still be alive.
                      In my heart of hearts, I really hope it is not true!!
                      Although there is one thing I haven’t seen Alex do up to now, in any role he played – He has not done anything opposite a mother!! It would be really good to see how he plays that one. It will also depend on what kind of person she is and if there is a good Mother/Son chemistry between them. If they plan to do it I really hope they choose the actress wisely.

    Oh Show, you made me soooo v v happy last night, I went to sleep happy and there was not even any s.xing involved. We had it all! Carguments (plural!), Bromance (you love me!), crazy Steve, smirking Steve, Steve who suddenly knows all about relationships, Steve saying to Kono at dinner “Hey, Hey you”…..oh show now I remember why I fell in love with you…..The jungle where the vic was found……think that particular parcel of land was used multiple times in LOST, even Chin looked confused…thank God TBG wasn’t there or I really would have flipped especially with Max talking about time travel……..how is it possible to have so many men with so many tattoo’s dressed in so very little and McG manages to keep his pants on? CGI of battle reinactment made me giggle…….oh Show you decided to come back…..hope PL lets you stay. I’ve misssed you!!

    Seriously though, has anyone asked Maha for a page 3? I’m happy to do it, but I don’t want to bug her if someone has already made the request. :)

      Maybe be should send Infant to ask, surely she´ll get our wish through to Maha :) No-one says no to “little” people…
      And if Maha is doing the recap later in the week this page is gonna xplode soon!
